A washing fastness tester is a device used to determine the color fastness of textiles, particularly with respect to washing. It is commonly used in textile manufacturing, quality control, and research and development.
The tester typically consists of a stainless steel chamber that is filled with water and a detergent solution. A sample of the textile is placed in the chamber along with a standard reference material, and the chamber is then rotated at a constant speed for a set period of time.
